Keeping Safe While Training

  • Walk with a friend or group if possible

  • Stick to well-lit, well-travelled routes and avoid isolated areas, especially if walking alone

  • Wear bright, light-colored clothing, put reflective tape on jacket/shoes and carry a flashlight if you are walking at night 

  • Always bring your cell phone and ID, plus let someone know where you are going before you leave
